1900 Illustrated Booklet on Adel
The citizens of Adel wrote a booklet in 1900 that shows in an artistic manner the advantages and beauty of the city. As noted in the front of the book: “Many obstacles have been overcome and we present the results of the efforts, trusting to the merits of the work to find general favor.”
100 copies of this booklet were reprinted in 1997 and David Sande generously loaned a copy of the booklet to Adel’s historical preservation commission to scan for the website.
